46. Boundaries Part III: Crafting Clear Limits for Balance and Well-Being
In the first episode of our boundaries series, we explored where boundaries might be missing in our personal and professional lives. In the second episode, we examined different types of boundaries we encounter daily. Now, in this third episode, we take it a step further by discussing how to set and maintain boundaries at both school and home using the 4 Cs method—Create, Communicate, Commit, and Check-In.
☑ What to Expect:
- Creating Boundaries – We talk about creating boundaries that will work for you and the people around you so that expectations are clear, relationships remain positive, and you can protect your time and energy.
- Communicating Boundaries – Discover strategies for clearly stating your limits with students, colleagues, and loved ones so they understand and respect your needs.
- Committing to Your Boundaries – Learn how to stay firm and avoid falling back into old habits, even when faced with pushback.
- Checking In and Adjusting – Understand why it’s important to regularly assess your boundaries and make changes when necessary to ensure they continue serving you well.
💧Well Wishes: Setting boundaries can feel uncomfortable at first, but it’s a powerful act of self-respect. Remember, your time, energy, and well-being matter. You don’t have to do it all, and you don’t have to do it alone. It’s okay to make adjustments along the way. As you work on setting and maintaining your boundaries, remind yourself that every step you take is creating a healthier, more balanced life for yourself and those around you.
As always, be well, do well.
